My wonderful husband washed my hair in the kitchen sink...I can't get my neck wet and there's just no way to wash it by myself. It sure feels great to have clean hair again!!
My friend Sandra came over for a visit and she brought me lunch from Chipotle.
Our neighbors brought us supper and we sooo appreciate it!! Dave is taking care of me, Fluffy and pretty much everything.
I toyed with the idea of not taking my pain pills and said that yesterday was going to be my last day ....I take it back!! I woke up this morning and it really hurts ... I only took 3 pills yesterday ...what was I thinking? As soon as I eat breakfast I'm taking a double dose. (Don't worry ....it's okay if I take two).
Last but not least .... our dear Fluffy is not doing well!! She's crying almost non stop and she won't leave my side. We bought a new kennel for my bedroom so she could be with me (truth be told she sleeps by my bed on the floor and on occasion she goes in the kennel.....we leave the door open so she can come and go). I took this picture because it looks like she's hugging her pillow. Bless her heart!!!
I tried posting yesterday ....but the BlogPress app stopped working. So, today the only thing I have on my agenda (besides sleeping) is finding a new app to create my post.
Speaking of apps .... I'm very sad to hear Steve Jobs resigned from Apple. I sure hope he's going to be okay!!!! I was really looking forward to what he was going to come up with next. I love the ipod, iphone and ipad!!!
Have a great day!!
p.s. Stay safe my east coast friends!!! I hope the hurricane Irene loses its power.

Sending my ongoing love and prayers for you and Fluffy. Don't leave off those painkillers too soon! Glad you have people caring for you both.

The picture of Fluffy broke my heart, did you ever find out what is going on with her? Please update us if you did.... Still praying for you ANGIE!
So glad you got your hair washed! It really does make a big difference in how you feel.
Aww, that's so sweet of your hubby! Very "Out of Africa", lol! (I'm sure it wasn't quite as exotic!)...yes, I agree...might as well take the pills while you can...no need to hurt! And poor doggie, aww...keep her close. Take care...and I'm sad about Steve J. too...P.S. I posted the finished flower quilt on Stitch with...so you just need to approve them! I can't believe it's all done!
Angie, take those pills!!! I've had 5 major surgeries and the first two I totally refrained from taking the pain pills....I HATE taking pills! By the 3rd one I finally figured out there were no medals for suffering thru the pain. I'm recuperating from my double masectomy done 4 weeks ago and am going thru the reconstruction now and I'm still taking pain pills...usually just one during the day and one at night. But, if I need one I take one! I have found that you heal faster if you control the pain.
I totally understand, too, about the hair washing! I've been unable to have a shower becsuse of drains. I have one more drain to get out and I'm going to shower all day! LOL!
Take it easy Angie and allow yourself to heal. Surgery can really take it out of you!
Big hugs, Cindy
I'm glad to hear you are "still on deck" although the recovery is slow. Take your time. (I'll be gone all of next week so it's fine with me if you take another week off-hee hee.) I just hope you start to feel better. Hope your doggie is okay too. I know she's heartbroken. Take those pills!
Karen
Angie, I hope you'll be feeling better soon. Fluffy too. What's wrong with her?
I'm glad to hear you're home...and enjoying clean hair. Doesn't the simple act of washing your hair make you feel (almost) like a new person?
So sorry to hear Fluffy isn't feeling well. Is she worried about you? We've had good luck treating our dogs' anxiety, pain, etc...using Bach Rescue Remedy. Maybe your hubby could pick some up for Fluffy. We give our dogs a few drops in the mouth...we also put a few drops on our palms adn gently rub the under-side of their ears. It eases their worries/stress/pain almost immediately.
I hope you both feel better real soon..............Tina
