X Factor

I like many of the singers on X Factor ...but two of them are my favorite ... Josh and Drew.
Josh is my most favorite ....his voice is amazing and because of his age ....he needs something to happen now.  Drew on the other hand ...is 14 and the sky is the limit for her.

They both have blown me away!!

American Idol

I know I said I would post this sooner.....
My favorite this season is a girl.
Just like last year I gave you my top three
and my top three were the top three
in the exact order :)

But I'm no expert ...just my opionion based on the type of music I like and maybe the personality a little bit.

My Top 3 favorite for season 10 is
1. Lauren (southern girl and I love her voice and her spunk)
2. Paul (sounds like Rod Stewart)
3.  Scotty/James  - I'm really struggling with third place.  I'm pretty sure Scotty has a career as soon as the show wraps up...his voice belongs in Nashville.  As for James ....his type of music is not my cup of tea but I want him to do well for emotional reasons.  (If you've ever known a person that suffers from tics you know they have zero control ...the fact that some are making fun of him ...well .... they are just plain stupid and that's not a word I use very often.)

I think all the singers are talented!!  But I make my decisions based off my taste of music.  I think some of other people have amazing talent ...just like Crystal last year ..but I wouldn't buy their CD's.  My favorite last year was Lee and I bought his album (itunes and the CD).

Big Brother

Tune in tonight for Big Brother (CBS).  I think this is the one show that Dave rolls his eyes at me when he catches me watching it. I'm not sure why I watch it...but I do and I enjoy it for the most part.  

Although I will admit .... if the nasty - mean - rude people are ahead I tend to get very disappointed. I always root for the underdog or the nice people....like last year I was totally for Jeff & Jordan (the cute couple that was the underdogs but came up from behind).   

  If you were a Jeff & Jordan fan...one of the reasons I like them is they reminded me of myself with Dave.  He's from Indiana & I'm from Tenn (yes .....we love Peaceful World by John Mellencamp ...he sings "up from Indiana down to Tennessee").  Dave's well educated & speaks properly.....not me.  and sometimes I'm really smart and sometimes not very bright. I tell everyone I'm street smart & sometimes I'll add which would you rather I be....you know what I mean? 

Gotta run I'm headed to dinner with some friends and then coming home to watch Big Brother on the DVR :)

What is wrong with me?

I always want to apologize for what I'm writing about ..... and yet it's my blog......so I'm going to stop doing that and just write about my silly stuff :)

the tagline of my blog is I live, I love and I write.  It's the truth. I am passionate about most of what I do.....when I go in ...I'm all in....you know what I mean?

So, it's no secret I'm a reality TV fan. I just can't help it! I work really hard all day and when it's time to stop I like chilling out watching a show that makes me have an emotion.  If I can't laugh or cry...I don't want to watch it.

As bad as I hate to admit it...I love watching the Bachelor and the Bachelorette and I always pick my favorite in the beginning.  Not sure why I do that but it was the same with Lee Dewyze on American Idol. I made my choice very early!!


So...the point of my story...... two shows back I choose Ed for Jillian...then he left the show...but came back and got the girl at the end.  Last year I choose Ali...she left the show but was not allowed back but has returned as the Bachelorette. Right from the beginning when Frank jumped off the roof of the car I liked him best....not sure why...I just did.    Kinda like Ed not sure what it was.   So tonight the date with Frank goes sooo perfect and I felt like a silly girl with a smile on my face (what can I say I'm a hopeless romantic).  But when the show ends the show previews that Frank breaks her heart and leaves the show?  Did I see that right...they were both crying.   I don't even want to watch it now!! Dang it ....why do I always pick the person that leaves?  What the heck did he tell her and why did he leave?
I should set my DVR and not watch a single show until it ends and then I can watch the whole season in one week.  That sounds like a better plan for future shows.

p.s.  took Chase to doc today and we're not sure what is going on.  They're sending us to Childrens Mercy and I'm waiting to hear from them on when they can fit him in.   As you can imagine my mind is racing with all sorts of possibilities.

Lee DeWyze on Jan Leno tonight

I know I said I wasn't going to talk about him anymore.... so I'll make this short & sweet.  Lee will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Set your DVR's to record him at 10:35 central time (and if it's like all the other shows.....he might perform at the end).  I'll have my TV on the whole time ...along with the DVR set.   
He's performing a song we haven't heard him sing yet....I'm excited!! But at the same time nervous......  he's been really sick...on an interview done Monday (I think) he was seriously coughing.  If you want the link to hear the interview send me an email.

I told myself that I wasn't going to talk about Lee or American Idol once it was over (yeah right).

too much info warning (aka TMI)

I've been holding off posting all day :(
I've got to stop watching reality TV shows!!!   (in my opinion if the TV producers would put more shows that create an emotional reaction from us we'd watch something else.)

See ....you can already see the direction of my thoughts.

I watched American Idol last night with tears in my eyes.....somehow I knew that Lee would not perform like his usual self.  Go back and look at all his previous performances you'll see that was not the normal.

Okay I'll stop for just a minute... to remind you ....you just may want to skip over this info.  If you've ever listened to therapist....there's something therapeutic about writing something down...then you can move on.   That's what I'm doing before....... I throw up (from nerves).

Back to Lee.....I went back and watched every single song he sang this season.  He had a sparkle in his eyes ....but last night he did not.  What the heck happened? 

 Dang it would someone tell him that he needs to sing songs that are not drowned out by the band!!!! Update on 6.9.2010 ...if you listen to his CD Slumberland (on itunes) he knows what he's good at.  He was doing what he was told.

Before I stop....one other thing about him that pulls my heart strings .... I've been told my whole life to smile more.   It's not that I'm not happy I just don't smile that often......I never have.  I actually laugh more than I smile.   Lee has been told so many times to smile that now you can hear him defending himself that he's happy.

Gotta go....need to get more work done so I can sit and watch the finale.....I hope Lee wins and I sure played my part.....voting for three hours straight!!

I've read a bunch of stuff online in the past few days and because Lee stepped into the front runner position......the Crystal fans are rising up and encouraging everyone to vote.   

They are both good singers...but I want Lee to win and I love his voice!!!

I scare myself

You will not believe what I did today!! I stepped on a needle and it went over half way into my foot...the worst was..... I had to pull it out :O   Normally if Dave was home I'd yell and scream and cry and he would come running to help me (because we know all I have zero pain tolerance) but he was out of town.
I tried pulling it out...but it was in there good :(   I got it and you should have seen the blood....yuk!!!


Have you noticed a trend....at least once a month I get hurt in some fashion?   Is someone trying to tell me to slow down or what?  I get the message I just need to work it all out :)  And can you believe my pinkie finger is still numb on the left side?

p.s.  who out there can admit they watched Lee more than twice on You Tube today?  Kim...if you don't call me soon so we can chat about him I'm going to be mad at you for a long long time!!  I'm kidding of course but dang I need my sister fix.  Back to Lee..... you know what it is that I love about him....his look of absolute wonder that we all love him.  I know he has to think he's going to wake up and all this be a dream.  I think not....his voice rocks!!

I was on pins and needles during American Idol....for a couple reasons.   I was keeping my fingers crossed that Lee Dewyze would be in the final two and ....I was scared we were about to lose power.  The storms started right around the time the show started and our lights even flickered a few times :O

I'm happy that Lee made it and will repeat my voting next week!!

Do you watch American Idol? Do you vote? I voted for an hour last night for Lee. If he doesn't win....something is wrong!! Look back thru this blog....he's been my favorite since day one :)

American Idol

Did you watch American Idol this week? 

If you look back several posts .....my favorite since day one has been Lee Dewyse!!   And this week sent me straight to itunes to download his songs. 

I love his voice and could listen to him all day long!!   The songs I downloaded were Beast of Burden, Fireflies, Chasing Cars & Lips of an Angel.

What I found shocking was he has a few CD's out there.  But in my opinion his lovely voice was hidden behind the musical instruments and you could tell he needs American Idol to go to the next level.     

My whole family gets really mad at me when I start forming opinions because I have no musical talent.  But the funny thing is I'm usually right and that makes them even madder.  I guess they think I'm just guessing but seriously I love music and even though I can't sing a lick I can recognize a good voice.


Lee & Casey James remain my two favorite...... but I want Lee to win.   Casey James sounds to me just like Bob Seger and I would love to hear him sing one of his songs....could he pull off Turn the Page?  Not sure....but maybe one of his other songs.  

Why do I want Lee to win and not Casey.   Where do I begin?  Lee has the voice but it appears that he's had a rough road and his self esteem has taken a hit.  I have always been a sucker for the underdog.  In saying that ....he's not really an underdog because he has the best voice of the bunch....there's just something there that pulls my heart strings.  Plus.....  we all know Casey will end up with a record deal and possibly more.  He's too cute for words and seems to have a good personality.  I think he'll do fine and probably has people lined up to sign him.  Although I think he needs to fine tune his voice...like Harry Connick said....it's not pitch problems ....at times he's sang off tune....but I'm sure that will be a thing of the past real soon.  


I'll stop for now.....I have a million things to do and have about 50 things I want to blog about but I need to get to work!!

Who's my favorite American Idol this year?

I've had several people ask me so here it goes.....

I really like Crystal & Casey also!!
I think Crystal could already be a star and Casey reminds me of Bob Seger (I love Bob Seger).  A few times his voice has reminded me of Kid Rock.

 I think all three will be future stars :)

oh well....what do I know.  Jake choose Vienne.  I  hope they are happy :)  I kinda figured it was her after we started watching it.  I guess he said he was happy with his decision last week......because of all the negative stuff being said.   how sad to start out that way!

Bachelor

I can't resist talking about the show.

I totally get into a few of them and love to talk about them with friends!!

So...most of you already know I over analyze everything.
That means I've thought about this a ton.
And
I've watched the body lanuage.

My take on it is
Jake chooses no one :)

How I made that decision was based on the body language from the Women tell all show last week.
He said I'm happy with my decision....he did not say I'm in love and we are engaged.
And
For a person that always is smiling...last season I called him Mr. Smiley.
He was not smiling last week.....something is up.  I think :)
I could be wrong :)

I have a few friends joining me tonight....it should be fun!!

Last time I predicted Ed from the 2nd show...he was my favorite & it looks like they are still together :)

Survivor

I'm so happy I have this site where I can dish the dirt!! 

 I'm a huge Survivor fan....never missed a show (& if I did I watched it online).    I want to be on the show....but I've never applied.

Why?  I'm afraid of water and I hate to get my hands wet.   And I could be the girl that cries at everything (especially if I was cold & wet....& what would I do without all my electronics?)

I loved the first episode this season!  Broken toe & dislocated shoulder all within the first 30 minutes.  Wow!!

And ....did you see the previews for next week?  Boston Rob was on the ground and it looked like he wasn't breathing (I'm hoping it's the way they edit what we see & he's really okay).


Who would I like to see win?  I'm not sure but I like JT, James & Colby (aren't all three of them from the south?) & I like Stephanie but I'll be good if any of the Heros wins.

  I really liked Coach better last night than the entire season.   But then again ....it's just one night.  Brooke & I decided that we don't want Russell to win but we're in favor of keeping him around.  Everything he says cracks us up...although in person it would be a different story!!
